Precision Resurfacing: Fractionated CO2 is an ablative fractional resurfacing, designed to produce thousands of tiny treatment zones on the skin, small pillars or cylinders of skin being removed known as microthermal zones. For every microthermal zone the technology targets and treats intensively, it leaves the surrounding tissue unaffected and intact.
Shorter Downtime: This 'fractional' treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tissue, replacing skin imperfections.
Versatility: This treatment can be used on the face and anywhere else on the body including the hands, eyelids, chest and neck and can treat deeply or more superficially. We find it effective for fine lines, irregular skin texture, loss of elasticity, sun and age spots, pigmentation and acne scarring.

The patient will wear protective eyewear to shield their eyes from the laser light. The dermatologist then uses the Fractionated CO2 laser device to deliver controlled beams of laser energy to the skin.
Patients often describe the sensation during the procedure as a warm or prickling feeling.

Expectations & Downtime:
• This treatment does require downtime; post-treatment, you may experience a feeling similar to sunburn, with redness and light superficial bleeding and “oozing” occurring.
• Multiple sessions may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
• Complete recovery may take up to two weeks, although in most cases, make-up may be applied and physical activity resumed after seven days.
