Clinical Trials at DIV
What is a clinical trial?
A clinical trial is a carefully designed research study that explores new medical treatments, procedures or therapies to evaluate their safety and efficacy before they become widely available. These trials are essential for advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care. At the Dermatology Institute of Victoria, we conduct clinical trials in conjunction with pharmaceutical and research companies to explore innovative treatments for various skin conditions and complex dermatological concerns. Trials encompass all phases of research (phase 1 to 4), from assessing small groups of patients to monitoring the treatments long-term performance after it is available on the market.
