Dr Charles Xie

Dermatologist (MBBS, BMEDSCI, MPHIL, FACD)

Dr Charles Xie is a fellow of Australasian College of Dermatologists and consultant dermatologist at the Northern Hospital. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, followed by four years of specialized dermatology training. During this time, he gained extensive clinical experience across Melbourne’s major teaching hospitals and clinics, including the Skin Health Institute, St. Vincent’s Hospital, The Alfred, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Austin Hospital, Monash Health, Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Box Hill Hospital, and Western Hospital.

Prior to his dermatology training, he conducted Master’s research on the diagnosis and prognosis of melanoma, which was published in leading dermatology journals and presented at national and international conferences. In recognition of his research, he received the Adrian Johnson Memorial Prize for the best registrar paper in the Australasian Journal of Dermatology along with other awards and scholarships. Dr Xie is passionate about skin health and is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to patients of all ages, from children to adults. His areas of expertise include the diagnosis and management of skin cancer, eczema, and psoriasis. Dr Xie offers consultations in Mandarin for patients who prefer or require care in their native language.
